DREAM PhD Student Emma Sims presents paper at Integrative Informatics, 2018

Emma Simms, a DREAM CDT student, recently presented a paper at the prestigious 14th International Symposium on Integrative Informatics, held at Rothamsted Research, Harpenden from the 13-15 June, 2018.

Highly relevant to DREAM, the conference focuses on the post-genome era where we ‘drown in data but starve for knowledge‘. The Integrative Bioinformatics conference aims to integrate, align, model and simulate heterogenous data to generate deep insight into complex biological systems. This symposium brings together experts in the field of bioinformatics, computational biology, computer science, systems biology and statistics – and has a particular focus on big data and data science more generally.

A highlight of the conference was the ‘artist in residence’ who was able to help prepare infographics from some of the talks underway, and we were delighted that Emma’s presentation was one of those selected. Here (and attached as pdf) is the resulting infographic.
