DREAM PhD Student Milan Gritta presents long paper at ACL, 2018

ACL Conference, 2018 – the stage is set!

Milan Gritta, a final-year DREAM CDT student, had the pleasure of presenting a Computational Linguistics long paper at the prestigious ACL 2018 (https://acl2018.org/) International Conference taking place once a year and hosting up to 1,500 participants.

This year, the conference took place in Melbourne, Australia. The manuscript called “Which
Melbourne? Augmenting Geocoding with Maps”, of which he’s the first author, achieved state-of-the-art results on Location Disambiguation using the latest techniques in Deep Learning (a branch of Artificial Intelligence AI).

The research contributes to the natural language
understanding of contextual information while providing additional evaluation (open-source) data. Milan is very grateful for the support of DREAM CDT through its generous travel fund enabling attendance of top-tier international conferences and availability of cutting-edge computational research tools.
