DREAM student Aileen Baird recently had an article published in the Society for Applied Microbiology Magazine: “Microbiologist”. The article is titled “Future Climate, Future Forests, Future Fungi” and introduces Aileen’s work at the Birmingham Institute of Forest Research (BIFoR). Aileen PhD is working within the BIFoR research group on their unique Free Air Carbon Enrichment experiment in a forest in Staffordshire, where she is looking at forest fungal populations and how they may respond to the higher atmospheric carbon dioxide concentrations that we can expect in the future.
